plastic end caps

I just wonder why you have to go all the way to China for end caps. Its nothing but a simple piece of plastic.
I made my own with a heat gun and a piece of plastic I got from a cookie package from the grocery store.

I don't know about China, but I also tried to build a set of end(s) for a 10s1p (A123 cells)

I started with plywood, and carved out depressions for the end cells, used 4 (not 2) threaded rods to mash everything together! And guess what.

Even the ply started to bow. That many cells really requires some beefy stuff on the ends in order to keep the cells aligned.

I recently purchased a pre-made 10s1p from MEC and its a work of art ! Rock solid

I, too, would very much like to see the SPTs come on sale again. It would be great to build my own packs as solid as the one I got from MEC.

The PVC end cap for 3/4 in PVC pipe fits the A123 2300 cell exactly.

Now, if we can only convince Pete and Elene to make the tubes available (we can already purchase the silver paste separately)
