Powerpole Connectors

Hi Pete,
Re the Powerpole connectors that you supply fitted to your A123 Power-tubes
I had used these previously, but tended to shy away from them as I read that they they were not recommended to carry more than 30 amps, what is your opinion/experience ??

Thanks - - - Deni

Power Poles

Post by mecpete on Wed Jun 25, 2008 10:07 am

Hi, Deni - We have been using the Anderson Power Poles for many years, and find them more than adequate for sport flying. I am flying 8 # aircraft that are able to perform unlimited vertical climb, etc. If you prefer, we have made the battery wires longer so that our customers can remove the power poles, and replace them with the connector of choice.

Another major reason for using the Anderson Power Poles, is their ability to connect in series.

If we were in competion, most likely we would be using Dean's, as they can flow higher amps for a longer period of time, (not necessary in sport flying). In my experience, I have yet to have any problems with the Anderson.
